NASA's Artemis II astronauts shared their experiences in space. Mission commander Reid Wiseman, pilot Victor Glover, mission specialist Christina Koch, and mission specialist Jeremy Hansen returned to Earth last week. They traveled beyond the Moon and back to Earth in a 10-day journey. The astronauts talked about their time in space and what they did. After returning to Earth, they tried to get used to gravity and eating normal food again.

The Artemis II spacecraft reached 25,000 miles per hour and temperatures near half the sun's heat when it entered the atmosphere. However, the astronauts said the process went very smoothly. Mission commander Reid Wiseman said, 'We came in fast, we came in hot, and as long as I looked out the window, it was a very smooth ride.' Pilot Victor Glover said the ocean landing felt like jumping from a skyscraper.

The astronauts answered questions about the most important experiences of their journey. Canadian astronaut Jeremy Hansen was on his first space flight and said he experienced the depth of the galaxy in a way the others didn't. 'The stars looked like they were in 3D,' he said. Hansen saw the Moon and Earth from that perspective and felt 'small and powerless, but strong together.' Reid Wiseman described the mission as 'an incredible adventure' and praised his fellow crew members. 'We're just forever connected. This is the closest thing to being a family without being a family,' he said.

The astronauts thanked NASA and the team that built the spacecraft, inviting everyone to join the mission. 'People are amazing... The things I saw gave me more joy and hope for our future,' they said. When asked if they dreamed of returning to the Moon, Christina Koch said she slept well but took some time to get used to a few things. 'I woke up and for the first few days, I felt like I was floating... and I was trying to prove to myself that I wouldn't float,' she said.

So, what advice do the four astronauts give to new astronauts and the future Artemis team? Reid Wiseman says, 'invest in each other.' Victor Glover says, 'ask more questions.' Christina Koch says, 'remember you're part of a team' and 'congratulate the whole team every day.' Jeremy Hansen says learning about your rocket is key, and future astronauts should know their spacecraft well.
