Future Football Stars Compete in Northern Ireland
Young footballers from around the world are competing in the SuperCupNI tournament in Northern Ireland. The prestigious tournament features youth teams from famous clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, and Celtic.

Thousands of people have gathered in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, to support the best young footballers from around the world. The SuperCupNI tournament has been running for over 40 years, bringing together boys' and girls' teams for a week of exciting young football. This year, over 1,200 young players are taking part, playing more than 150 matches across Northern Ireland over six days. Teams are coming from England, Ireland, and all over the world, including famous clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool, Rangers, and Celtic. The Desert Empire Surf team from the USA is also competing, and will play against teams like Liverpool, Norwegian team IL Heming, and Manchester United in the girls' premier section. Two young players from the team, Katina and Keira, are excited to play against top-level opponents, despite being in a tough group. The tournament is a great opportunity for young players to test themselves against teams they wouldn't normally meet, and to learn new skills and play against different styles of football. Many young footballers who have competed in the SuperCupNI have gone on to become professionals, including Marcus Rashford, David Beckham, Wayne Rooney, and Harry Kane. The tournament is an excellent chance for young players to showcase their talents and gain new experiences.
