The swamp wallaby is a small, pouch-carrying animal that lives in eastern Australia. They live in thick forests and dense coastal areas and are most active at dawn and dusk, making them hard to spot. Some swamp wallabies have a golden color, making them rare and mysterious. Photographer Jack Evershed spent hours in a nature reserve on the Gold Coast of Queensland and took photos of these rare animals.
