Imagine you're a hungry bumblebee, and you have two choices: fly straight to some yummy food or stop to play with some fun wooden balls. What would you do? Scientists Dr. Alice Bridges and Dr. Samuel Ramsey, also known as Dr. Sammy, wanted to know what bumblebees would do in this situation. They set up a special chamber at Queen Mary University of London and watched as the bumblebees made their choices. Many of the bumblebees decided to play with the balls! Dr. Bridges said, 'Bees are pretty reward-driven animals,' which means they like to do things that make them happy.
