Some old elk hides were found in a cave in Oregon. They were taken to a museum and stayed there for a long time. Recently, some scientists looked at them and found out they are very special. They are the oldest known sewn items and are from the end of the last Ice Age, about 12,900 to 11,700 years ago. The scientists think that the people who made them were very good at sewing and cared about how they looked.
