### The History of Golden Retrievers
It all started 160 years ago in the highlands of Scotland. A nobleman named Lord Dudley Marjoribanks wanted to create a smart, tough dog that could run easily on Scotland’s rough terrain. In 1868, the first three puppies were born and named Primrose, Cowslip, and Crocus. These three puppies became the ancestors of the Golden Retrievers that millions of people love today!

### Guisachan House: The Birthplace of Dogs
The big gathering isn’t chosen by accident. The event will be held in the gardens of Guisachan House, a historic estate. Because the breed was born there, Golden owners think of it as a “holy place.” In 2023, about 500 dogs from 12 different countries attended the last meeting. In 2028, the number is expected to grow even more!
