A team of scientists from the University of Chicago discovered the remains of big dinosaurs in the Sahara Desert in Niger. These dinosaurs are called Spinosaurus and are the first new species to be found in over 100 years. They lived a long time ago, about 100 to 90 million years ago, in what is now North Africa. The scientists found many fossils, including bones, teeth, and a special crest on the dinosaur's head. They think this crest might have helped the dinosaurs recognize each other. The young dinosaurs were about as long as a school bus, but we don't know how big they got when they were fully grown. The scientists think these dinosaurs might have lived near rivers and caught fish in the water.
